My 6 years old daughter has ADHD inattentive type symptoms. She's in first grade.
Talked to her doctor about but I didn't want to give her prescription drugs right way. I did some research on my own and decided give Attend Mini a try since it's homeopathic medicine.
She started taking this about 4 months ago, first month was the load month 6 pills a day(according to her weight) from then on 3 pills a day
First days were a nightmare to her. (Since she never swallowed a pill before. Looking at internet for some ideas I tried mix the pills with apple sauce and worked...after first month she was able to swallow with water)
So far the results are being excellent. Her first period grades in Math, Reading and writing was: NI - (Needs Improvement). For the second period was: G (good)for Math and writing and VG (very Good) for Reading. She is doing most of her homework with almost no help. Her level of concentration went up a lot. Everything is better only her hand writing is not so good but she's only 6 but I can see a lot of progress there too. I'm so happy that I didn't have to give her psychostimulants drugs. I think that if you'll try this just give it time to work.
P.S. - We're using this product with: Nordic Naturals - Children's Dha, 8 fl oz liquid - since day one. (also placed a review for this item)

Changed my and my son's experience with schoolAug 30, 2011

I was very frustrated and being told after all the therapy sessions and coping skills, we were probably going to need to place my son on medication for his ADHD which is moderate. Of course, if that is needed, I guess I thought I would be okay with it. But, I also knew that there were other alternatives that we could try before starting stimulants that cause weight loss and no extensive information about long-term effects. So, I did some research online after my son's therapist mentioned use of flax seed oil for treatment of ADHD. In my research, I found reference to "Attend" by Vaxa. I looked at it and compared to other products and thought it was what we were looking for. I also found a lot more information about Feinghold diet (Elimination Diet) that I had tried with my son, but didn't do completely per Feinghold. So, we made some more changes to my son's diet, started Attend, and a few other things I found online. I am extremely proud to say that my son has had no problems with inattention or inability to complete work during classtime and has had no letters of concern from teacher or bus driver this year. Such a blessing!!!! He's already brought home several tests/assignments with 100% correct. I highly recomment this product to any parent struggling with their ADHD diet and wanting to try something natural/homeopathic before placing their child on stimulants. I believe that this supplement combined with increased protein diet, dye-free foods, and other foods that make my son's symptoms exacerbate was what worked best for us and him. I highly recomment doing the research on all aspects of treatment before making a decision which is best for you and your family. I, for one, will be continuing Attend and looking into other supplements by Vaxa for my other children. Thank you so much Vaxa!!!

my son has been been taking childrens attend for a week. on the back label it says that i have to load for 30 days than i can cut the amount in half. my son is 68 pds. so im giving him two mini attends everyday. i know its to soon to tell but the only difference that ive seen in him is usually when he comes home from school. he never changes out of his school clothes into his play clothes but every since hes been on ATTEND he takes the time to think about what i usually tell him everyday. when hes outside playing i notice that he notices things, the smalls things he never pays attention to everyday, his teacher says that hes still very distracted in class. but im not gonna stop giving it to my son until his body has loaded up on it, so i got up until 3 wks to see its affects. i hope this work so i can get rid of my sons medicines for good. after 3 wks i will recap and give another review for anyone who wants to try attend with their child.

Our 6 year old son has been on Attend Mini for less than three weeks and has shown dramatic improvement with impulse control, anger, and focus. We aren't fighting the fight all the time with him. It's such a blessing to find a product that is natural and WORKS! I thought we'd have to wait through the 30-45 day load to see any improvements. Not so. We are so elated to have our sweet son enjoying life like he should.

My son is 6.5 years old and he is in 1st grade public school system. He was diagnosed with ADHD since he was not paying attention in class, bothering his classmates, and the typical complains. I read about deficiency of minerals, fish oil and the connection with ADHD. My friend at work told me about she using attend for her son and it worked. I started giving my son vitamins, fish oil and attend mini (since they are easier to swallow) for a week. The next week he improved a lot. The way we can tell is because the teachers give us a daily sheet with each activity in a box with either a happy or sad face on it. He used to have mostly sad faces but since he has been taking the attend it changed to mostly happy faces and average of 2-3 sad faces (out of 24 boxes). For me this is a big improvement. It is not perfect but improved. We also had meetings with the teachers and they are saying they see him with some behavioral improvement in some areas. I'm not sure if attend had something to do all by itself but he is improving and I will keep giving him the attend with the combination of fish oil and the vitamins.
