Has beneficial skin effects, but quite comedogenic on meDec 15, 2008
By Mir I have had such wonderful results from first Kinerase Clear Skin Light moisturizer, the hydrating mist, and then the one I tried most recently--the stronger one--Ultimate Regimen. All are wonderful (including the Cleanser). Expensive, but EFFECTIVE.
So, with my skin damaged from years of acne, allergies, eczema, dermatitis--with scars and whatnot--I figured let me try this one with extra skin-helping ingredients. I had heard great stuff from some online users at Makeup Alley, and realized there was one risk: I might be among those who broke out from it.
Well, I am. Despite Kinerase's claim of this being NON-comedogenic, I woke up with a bunch of big white-headed zits the morning after I first tried it (after not having had an eruption in a couple weeks, other than the usual very small whiteheads that are common on me). I also found a patch of irritation between my eyebrows.
I decided to give it another night, just in case that was a fluke. Nope. I woke up with another set of big, white-topped zits on my nose and jawline and chin.
So, not for me, sadly.
I decided to use it on hubby--who is NOT acne-prone but does have rosacea.
On him, it's working fine. I see a reduction in his usual rosacea redness and no breakouts.
So, goes to show. Different strokes. For those very sensitive to acne-causing oils/substances, this may backfire. If you have normal, clear skin (ie, not prone to acne), this may be fabulous for you.
Might want to try a sample from Sephora or Nordstrom before dishing out 100+ bucks.
Note: If you are acne prone, consider Clear Skin Light as a Kinerase starting point. I found that moisturizer aided my skin's texture and blotchiness without acne increase, while not moisturizing enough for my middle-aged, dry skin. (Ergo, my switch to the Ultimate Regimen).
Hope this helps,
Mir

The BestOct 27, 2010
By Carol I have acne and rosacea which becomes severe when I am stressed. I also must use Retin-A for acne control. My main problem with every other face cream I have ever used, even those for sensitive skin is burning when my rosacea is bad. I don't experience burning with this product! Furthermore, my skin looks wonderful the next day. I have tried going back to other products for a few days, but my skin never looks as good as it does when I use the Kinerase pro therapy ultra rich night cream. The jar has a dispensing system... don't unscrew the lid! Remove only the snap on lid, then push down on the remaining jar cover. Just the right amount is dispensed to cover your face & neck (dot it all over, then gently rub in). The remaining cream in the jar remains uncontaminated as you never need to touch it.

Yet to find its equal.Aug 19, 2008

Ok, normally I would think it was a scandal to buy ANY face product for this much money, but I tried it one winter desparate to find something to help my dry, taxed skin. I tried many night creams and lotions (the only facial product I allow myself to splurge on). In fact, I had a drawer of lotions that I stopped using in pursuit of something better. Feeling guilty about the price tag on Kinerase, I even left it for awhile for something cheaper. Needless to say, I came running back and I will never leave again!

Don't find this moisturizer to be anything special, and will return to my Clinique which does a great job at a much lower price!
