The HairMax LaserComb seems to be working, so I am very pleased with the product. Within 5 months my hair has doubled in thickness. With short hair it doesn't take but about 10 minutes of time.

Works! Regrowth on Crown and Front; 10 months and going ...Nov 13, 2011

I used the cordless HairMax for about 10 months and I have seen fantastic results. I'm 28 y.o male with a balding crown and receding hair line. I used it about 3-4 times a week for 1 hour each time. I didn't start noticing a difference until 4-5 months, but it was a big difference. The crown hair is THICKER; regrowth of hair in the front.
I see that others have given it a bad review, they probably were expecting full regrowth. It takes time! It took me probably 3 months before I notice anything. The first thing I notice was just general thickness of the hair. After 6 months, I could see more hair with the mirror. Then my friend started saying that the front was regrowing. I can see new hairs growing. I recently started losing hair about 2 years ago, so it might be that I am a recent hair loss candidate which made it easier for me to recover.

I had a hairmax for three years. Can't say if it really worked or not, but I figured I'd use it. I used it while I watched TV, so it didn't take up any time. I had a better safe than sorry attitude. The unit stopped working after 3 years. The brochure stated a 10-15 year life. The company was not responsive. It is not worth $500 for only three years. If you are go ing to buy a laser comb, choose a different company.

This product has only "one laser diode" split in 9 beams through a plastic mirror, in other words, the efficacy of this device is diminished by having this kind of disposition.
The Hairmax is using diffuse light principle to regrow hair and by doing this you are working with unfocused energy, this energy is weaker. In this case you can solve this problem when you choose a device with "multiple diodes instead of one diode" reflecting many laser beams.
Just in case, I used the Hairmax Premium for 16 months...

I tried this and it didn't work one bit. My hair is still falling out. I am going to take the Nioxin pills instead. Most people on Amazon are happy with those. Plus this item is only FDA cleared. Not approved. That's where they trick you. I don't think anyone should pay this kind of money for something not to show at least some kind of results.
